Our First Snow Fall


We got our first real snow last night. Would you believe it if I told you that this light dusting of snow caused all of the schools in Jefferson County to go on a two hour delay? It's true! I don't have to be in until 9:45.

That's funny! Mayville would never have school if that little bit made school delay. We have been getting snow everyday for the last 3 week! Life in the Thumb is different.

Welcome to Kentucky:) You know that I grew up in Canada...so these "snow days" down in KY are a joke for us northern girls!! It's ok - snow days give us a great excuse to meet at the movies for an afternoon matinee...just watch out for those crazy drivers!!!!!
