My belly and answers to commonly asked questions

Pictures at 15 weeks pregnant. I swear this belly just appeared out of nowhere in the last few days!!! This is the outfit I wore to school today. One of my students - a guy in the junior class - walked into my classroom and said, "Oh my goodness, Mrs Glupker! You've got a gut." I encouraged him to NOT refer to it as a "gut." He's a great kid - but he might want to consider his charming techniques.

I have received a lot of emails lately with all sorts of questions. I thought I would just answer them here.

"Have you had any morning sickness?" Not at all.
"Are you ever nauseous?" Nope.
"Do you have any food aversions?" Not that I have noticed.
"Do you want a boy or a girl?" We'll take what we get!
"Are you going to find out what you're having?" No.
"Do you have any names picked out?" We have some ideas. We won't tell until the baby is here though.
"Are you going to go back to teaching next year?" No, my job is currently posted.
"What symptoms do you have?" None really - other than the fact that my pants don't button.
"Do you have any cravings?" I don't think so. I have been especially enjoying fruit lately, particularly strawberries and plums. I wouldn't call it a craving though.
"Are you starting to show?" Take a look at the pictures. :)
"How are you feeling?" GREAT - and incredibly blessed!!!! Thank you all so much for your prayers!

It is so weird and awesome at the same time to see you pregnant. Tell Ben that YOU being pregnant doesn't justify HIM having a gut.

Awesome! Thanks for answering so many questions for all your supporters and praying-partners! I take it there aren't any issues with the baby then?

Brian and I aren't expecting, but he was so inspired by your pictures that he wants to start documenting how well-fed he is for my blog. =)

kelly,

you are the most pregnant woman i have ever seen. your husband must be very proud. and hungry. what's for supper?

what i MEANT to say was that you are the most lovely pregnant woman i have ever seen.

i actually did see a woman once who was slightly more pregnant than you are at this point. i think she was having twins, though.

What i MEANT to say was that i'm trying to drive away all of your readers (or "peeps" as you like to call them)by posting mindless, stream-of-consciousness rants in your comment box.

Ben,
Have you been smoking something?!?! You were obviously tired - and apparently hungry too. Maybe you shouldn't comment until you are thinking clearly. :) I love you!

Stacey,
Why aren't you blogging?!?!

Shyla,
You need to blog more often!

Kelli,
Thanks for your comment. Though, I am afraid that "glow" might just be the greasy shine on my face from just waking up from a nap! :)

Pam,
Thanks for your prayers. When will we be hearing your announcement??:)

Kara,
I have always thought that pregnant women were adorable and could never understood why they felt "fat." I am starting to understand. I'm glad you at least think I look cute. :) It really depends on the clothes I am wearing - some make me look pregnant, others make me look like I have a beer belly. That's not so cute.

Wow! That shirt your wearing is REALLY cute. I love it. I admire people who have such a fashion sense. Love you big mama.

Kelly Glupker said...

Jess,
You sound JUST LIKE Grandma when you called me "big mama." Nice. I love the shirt too. Thanks for the compliment. ;)

Stephanie,
I laughed out loud at Olivia's comment. She is such a sweetheart. She was so cuddly when we were home last week. We stopped in at Immanuel for a few minutes on Sunday night. She ran right over to me and gave me the longest hug. What a cutie! Tell her that her "Chubby Aunt Kelly" loves her too!!!
