How the Glupkers are doing . . .

Owen likes to study Greek and Hebrew with his Daddy. Daddy likes having him there too.

Owen Update:
Owen's favorite activities are eating, sleeping, and pooping and he does a lot of each. We love watching his funny facial expressions and listening to all of his little noises. He is doing a great job nursing and is just a really good baby. Owen loves to have his hands up by his face and mouth (as EVERY ultrasound picture will show). Last night he had his hand stuck in his sleeve so he just put his sleeve by his mouth. We thought it looked cute so we took a picture. It wasn't until later that we realized that his sleeve was actually stuck there. Ben had to peel it off.

Kelly Update:
I had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday and although my blood pressure was higher than mine typically is, it was within what they consider normal range. Praise the Lord! My vision is still blurred and my doctor is referring me to an eye specialist. Thankfully, my medical insurance will cover the exam if I the doctor writes it up as a "medical" eye exam. I am hoping I don't need contacts or glasses. I feel great and am 13 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. I am very happy about this considering I gained over 50 pounds!

Ben Update:
Ben absolutely loves being a dad! Working full time and going to school full time unfortunately does not allow him as much time to hang out with us as he would like. He is home with us every night but often has to be at his desk studying. As you can see from the picture, Owen likes to hang out with him while he does his Greek and Hebrew homework.

So glad things are going so good for you. I don't know how Ben would get any studying done. I would just stare at Owen the whole time. :) I love the picture of your's and Owen's faces. Too cute!

Every picture is just precious. Abby did the same thing with her hand by her face!

Owen is so handsome, so when will all of you be back in MI so we can meet him in person? Glad to hear you are all doing so well. You are in my prayers.

I still can't get over how tiny Owen is--so precious!! How many years has Ben been in seminary and how many does he have left? Where does he work and what are his hours? I guess I am curious since our family is just starting this lifestyle ourselves, and my four-year-old and almost three-year old are still trying to adjust to daddy being gone SO much. . . okay, and so am I!! Hope you get some answers at the eye doctor--thanks for the updates:)

Thanks to all of you for your prayers! I'll keep you posted.

Nicki,
Ben is starting his second year of seminary. It's a 4 year program if he goes full time - it's like a 94 or 96 credit hour program. So, if he continues going full time he has 3 years left. You know what - I'll send you a message on facebook. I don't want strangers knowing where my husband works and what his hours are. :)

Thanks--I totally understand that. . .I probably could have posted all those questions on your facebook anyway:)

Owen is so beautiful and picture-perfect! Chloe was that same way with her fists up by her face during the first 2-3 weeks of life. I'm guessing she was like that in the womb for a while.

SO GLAD to hear that you're doing better! Hopefully the vision blurring will go away on its own.

That shot of Owen on daddy's desk is great! Hang in there while Ben's so busy. Feel free to vent to me about having a student husband. :) We're almost on the other side of this student-family adventure and we know what the journey is like.
