Locker Soccer

Owen plays soccer once a week at an indoor gym called Locker Soccer. He loves it! Ever since we started doing this he asks me every day if we can go to the gym to play soccer. It not only gets him out of the house to run around and burn some energy for an hour, but he is also learning the basics of organized sports. He does a great job of listening to the coach.

Our first week there I told Owen to obey coach Rob and do whatever he does. Owen took that command very seriously. Coach Rob took his sweatshirt off, Owen took his off. During the obstacle course, Coach Rob led the way and Owen was at his heels. When other kids knocked the cones down, Coach bent down to pick them up while he continued running in the obstacle course. Owen, not understanding what Coach was doing, ran right up behind him and picked up those same cones and tossed them. It was hilarious to watch! All he knew was that Coach was picking up the cones, he didn't realize that he was fixing them and that touching them was not part of the course.

Here they are stretching and learning the different muscles in their legs.
