A Trip to the Petting Farm

Last Thursday we joined a few other ladies from our MOPS group and visited a nearby farm. It was a gorgeous day to be outside! The kids enjoyed feeding, petting and learning about the animals. I also took the opportunity to point out to Owen some of the animals we've been hearing about in our Bible reading (David and his sheep, Mary riding on a donkey, etc). We also got to go on a hay ride. The cutest little lamb I've ever seen!

There were several baby animals. I mean, itty bitty baby animals - some just hours old.

Owen feeding a calf a bottle. I believe this cow was only a couple days old.

These sheep were only 3 days old.

This little goat was loud! And he was less than 24 hours old!

Owen liked feeding the goats, although he wasn't real fond of the big one. Aubrey wasn't quite strong enough to keep the cup of food in her hands while having several goats trying to eat out of it at the same time.

It's easy to make friends with the animals when you have food.
