When you ask a child what excites him about growing older you often hear responses like,
- staying up late
- going to school
- getting a driver's license
- moving out
- or having children (if you're talking to a young girl)
Owen often talks with excitement about being a husband when he's older. We don't prompt him, he just shares what he's thinking about. Tonight at bed time he prayed, "Thank you, God, that when I get older I can have a wife of my own."
Proverbs 18:22 says, "He who finds a wife finds a good thing." I hope my son will one day find such a good thing. I thank God that Owen already, in his childish mind, sees a wife as a "good thing" to thank God for.
