Welcoming Brooklyn Amber Lange

Here is the proud Grandpa Rademacher!
Brooklyn was born on Saturday, May 13th. She weighed 8 lb 13oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. We are so excited that she is finally here! My sister was quite a trooper after going through a rough final week with her. She ended up needing to get an aversion done because Brooklyn was breech - she turned constantly! In fact, when she was born they noticed that the umbilical cord was tied in a knot. The doctor made my sister wear a binder for the last few days to keep the baby from moving. Kim delivered without any pain medication - what a woman! (Sorry about the double pic)

Wow, aversion and binder? No idea what those two things feel like .. . and no pain medication?!? Sheesh, that woman deserves a milkshake!

What a beautiful little baby! What is her middle name? She did turn out to be a good healthy size, eh?

Alicia,
She said the aversion was quite painful and the binder was uncomfortable. Her middle name is Amber - after her grandma Lange. She did turn out to be a pretty good size. It's amazing that she moved and turned so much. I can't believe she had room to do all that - but she did! Did I mention in the post that she tied her umbilical cord in a knot?

Shannon,
Brooklyn is the smallest baby Kim has had. Her first one was 9 lb 2 oz and her second was 9 lb 4 oz - delivered naturally without an epidural!
