Ben and I have been praying for quite some time that God would direct our paths and show us where He wants us. When we went to Southern Seminary last fall, we came home believing that God wanted us there. We still believe that. We have resigned from our positions as teachers at Grace Christian School. We have only a few short weeks left of this school year. We have put our house up for sale. We have informed the church that Ben will no longer be teaching Sunday school or serving as an elder after this summer. Yet, our house has not sold.
The housing market is terrible in Michigan right now. It is certainly a buyer's market. There are three or four houses for sale on every block! From a human standpoint, it doesn't seem likely that our house will be selling anytime soon. The house across the street from us has been for sale longer than ours. I know that God will direct our paths and that He will provide where He guides. However, do you ever find it difficult to go from head knowledge to actually believing? I can't help but wonder what we will do if our house DOESN'T sell. We can't afford to go to seminary with a mortgage. If you think of it, please pray that our house would sell. We would like to move around the second week of July.
This is certainly a time where my faith is being tested. I suppose I should be resting in the Lord trusting that His will will be done - regardless of what I think. If he wants us to move, He will sell our house. If he doesn't want us to move, He won't. Right?

I will pray for you and your husband, Kelly. I will pray that your house sells if it is the Lords will!!
Yesterday when I read what you left on my blog...I thought it was such a GREAT encouragement..."It is so hard to trust God when things seem so bleak - yet remember that he knows the whole story and has a perfect plan. This is no surprise to Him!" I think I have quoted what you said to two people already!!
His way is perfect and he has a perfect plan too!!!
Praying for you...
Heather,
You made me smile when you quoted my words back to me because I needed to hear it! Thanks for the reminder. It is so good to have Christian friends who can encourage you during times of frustration and despair.
I appreciate the prayers!
I will be praying for you and your husband as you go through this time of faith testing. You're right, it is often hard to go from the head knowledge of faith or trust and make it a matter of our heart and what we truly beleive. God has a plan and He will reveal it to you in His perfect timing! If you are indeed meant to go to seminary in Kentucky, He will work out all of the detials, even if humanly speaking it seems impossible! I will be praying!
