These pictures are not in order because I can never seem to figure out how to do that. Bummer.
Anyhow, we have had a WONDERFUL weekend! Ben's Dad, Aunt Judy, and Grandma came down for a visit. They arrived on Thursday and are staying until tomorrow. It's been great having them here. Aunt Judy loves the mint-chocolate covered oreos that I had at my wedding. She always asks for them - so today I taught her how to make them on her own. She now knows how to do it and is even stocked with chocolate and peppermint oil.
"See how easy this is Aunt Judy?"
We started the day with homemade cinnamon rolls fresh from the oven and then we were off to church. This picture is of Highview Baptist church - the church we have been attending for several weeks.

It looks like a fun time!
Isn't it fun to have family around? Mint chocolate oreos? Those sound delish! Are they hard to make?
Looks like you had a great time with the family ! It is always nice to see familiar faces :) especially the ones you love. After your candy class at church I have been hooked with making chocolate dipped things for special occasions, did a bunch for the holidays this year !
Alicia,
They are SUPER easy to make! Just melt the chocolate, add a couple of drops of peppermint oil. Drop your cookies in and tap off the extra chocolate. The main thing is to make sure you don't overheat your chocolate.
Steph,
Glad to hear you are enjoying your candy making! We did enjoy seeing familiar faces. We were totally spoiled during their visit!!!!
I know it must have been a good weekend because I didn't hear from you at all. It looks like you had a nice visit. You are fortunate to have such great in-laws. I laughed at the picture of Ben and his dad napping...father like son all the way. I miss watching Ben fall asleep in the middle of a loud family get together, while still sitting up. I miss you too.
Kimbe,
I am fortunate. Speaking of Ben falling asleep, do you remember the "rule" we picked for him to have to follow while at my bridal shower at Immanuel? That was pretty funny. Interestingly enough, Ben doesn't like to take naps. Go figure.
