You didn't get my Christmas card?

That's because I didn't send it. This is my second official year of not sending out Christmas cards. I am not opposed to them. In fact, I LOVE getting them. It's just that it costs a lot of time and money to send out cards. I believe it would be worth it if I were going to include more then the regular "Love, Ben and Kelly." If I had a Christmas letter to send out or a picture to stick in the card, I would do it. But it seems sort of silly to send out a card with nothing on it but your name. Now for those of you who send cards out with just your name, please don't be offended. I enjoy all of the cards I receive, but wouldn't we all agree that it's much more fun when a letter or picture is enclosed? Shannon Conley had another idea I have never heard of - send out magnets with your picture on it. I could get excited about a Christmas card with a magnet along with it!

So if you're waiting to get a card from me, you'll be waiting for a long time. Maybe next year I will plan ahead and write up a letter or get a shot of Ben and I. Until then . . . consider this your Merry Christmas!

I'm with you. What a waste. But they sure are fun to open!

I agree that sending Christmas cards seems to be a waste - of trees too! But, I also feel that Christmas cards are our way of keeping a line of communication with our relatives. I compromised this year and sent out 1/4 e-cards and 3/4 regular paper cards. And we included a family photo to show our loved ones how Chloe has grown. I like the magnet idea too! I might copy that idea for next year.

Okay the magnet is such a great idea! And you are so funny. I just got off the phone with Kara and we were talking about how you can just get along with everyone!
Merry Christmas.

Are you the Christmas Grinch? No Cards. That is like a present to your friends and family! Just kidding. Kelly, you havent changed much, still willing to voice your opinion no matter what.

Thanks for the Merry Christmas :) !!
I have to say I enjoy getting Christmas cards. I'm a little old-fashioned in that area. I even like picking out a meaningful one and sending them. I don't send them to too many people that I see often. I do like to send them to those far away to let them know I'm thinking of them at Christmas.

Jake,
I would send a card if I had a picture or something. So you think I am opinionated? I have never been told that before. :)

Pam,
I got your card - Thanks! I do enjoy getting them as well as sending them out. I also try to pick out something with a meaningful message (ie: no Santa). I just don't have the time to do it this year.

I just dont see what is so hard about taking a pic and getting it printed a few times for 15 cents apiece or something and sticking them in the mail. And yes, i do believe that your opinion has been heard once or twice! At least by me, i dont know about everyone else? :) I just to let you know, I went with the word verification on my blog too. I got a couple crapy posts. But your seems to be the hardest for me to see. Yours are always in some sort of fancy cursive or something.

The reason it's so "hard" is because Ben works nights and I work days. We don't see each other a whole lot and when we do there isn't usually somebody else with us would could snap a picture. If I had kids I would do it. So how come I didn't get your card? :)
You must be the only person who has ever heard my opinions. You should feel honored that I trust you enough to share them. ha ha.
I did notice that you got some weirdo comments. Now you know the blessing of word verification. I don't know why mine is in a hard-to-read font though. Maybe it's your screen. I don't have a problem with it - but then again - I did have lazer eye surgery!

As a matter of fact, your Christmas card is on its way as we speak! I am a scrooge when it comes to the holidays and i was able to find time to get a picture taken on our camera. Our camera has a timer, does yours? And i never had eye surgery??? Are you referring to someone else??? There you go again, just shoutin out things. :)

Jake,
Really? You're sending me a Christmas card? You better not be joking because now I am expecting one! Our camera isn't very good - we are hoping to get a new one for Christmas.
I wasn't insinuating that you had eye surgery. I am the one I am referring to. I had surgery.

i'm halfway with ya. i only send cards to family and very few close friends (i think the grand total was 4 this year)....i still end up sending 35. we have family scattered all over the country though, so i send a picture. it is costly, but i buy my cards after christmas every year so i know i'll save money there. i just have to plan for postage.

oh i get it, now that i have re read the posts. That makes more sense. Keep looking in the mail for your card and i will keep going to the mailbox to see when yours is coming in.

Jake,
I don't have your address. You move around so much, it's hard to keep up with you. I still have your address from when you lived on Tuxedo.

Just so you know, Christmas will be a little less joyful this year because I know your not sending me a card AGAIN.
