Pi Day!

March 14th is the annual celebration of the irrational number pi. That's a big deal at Whitefield Academy. Every math class spent the day eating pie and playing mathematical games. We had a blast! Our department head cracked me up when she showed up to school wearing a shirt with the pi symbol on the front and these words on the back: "Irrational, but well balanced."

It's so hard to find cool math shirts! I have one that says "Math Cheat shirt" and it has all these formulas and such printed upside down so if you really wanted to cheat, you'd just have to look down at your shirt and they'd be ready for you. :) what other pi activities did you guys do? What fun! 3.14159 (that's all the digits I know by heart - sad, isn't it?) Thanks for fulfilling my math-nerd-fettish.
