This September, my cousin, Rebecca Feldpausch, will be walking 60 miles over the course of 3 days (and camping out at night) in an effort to raise money for breast cancer research. This event is called the Breast Cancer 3-Day.
This is what Rebecca had to say regarding this challenge:
"I feel the need to help all women and men out there who are battling cancer now and those who will in the future, and therefore, I dedicate those days, those miles of walking to three wonderful women. My grandmothers, Alice Conkle and Eileen Smith, suffered from the ravages of this condition and now my OB-GYN, Dr. Thornton, is losing the battle with breast cancer. Cancer has likely been a health concern of many of your loved ones, those who have played significant roles in your life too, and those you have yet to know about. Without a cure, one in eight women in the U.S. will continue to be diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m walking in the 3-Day because 'Everyone deserves a lifetime.'"
Please consider making a donation of $5 or more. If you plan on giving a donation of $100 or more you can spread your payment out over four months, using the payment plan option, if you donate online atwww.The3Day.org . Please also ask your employer if they will double your donation with a matching gift.
If you feel led to give, just click "Donate" in the purple box at the top of this page. Please feel free to send my blog address to any of your friends and family that you feel might be willing to support this cause. If you know anyone who has suffered from this disease, please consider making just a $5 donation. Every bit helps!

That's very nice of you to put this on your blog, Kelly! The more people we can get the word out to, the better! I hope Rebecca exceeds her goal!
