9 Months Old

At nine months of age, Aubrey:

- weighs 19 lb 1 oz (65th percentile) and is 28 inches long (70th percentile)
What she's doing:
Aubrey loves to move. She flaps her arms and kicks her legs all the time.
She says, "da-da" and still makes this funny rattling noise in the back of her throat.
She loves her Daddy and often reaches for him when he comes in to the room. Daddy feels pretty good about that!
She still enjoys bath time and splashes so much that everything/everyone near her is drenched by the time she is done.
She laughs every time we tell her "no-no." For some reason, she thinks it's a joke. We're working on this!
She likes to bite. She uses her teeth to pull on shirts, bite skin, grind together, etc. We're working on this as well!
Aubrey is a super smiley, happy girl. She loves to play with Owen's cars, Owen's curls and . . . well . . . anything that belongs to Owen. He can make her laugh like no other. They absolutely adore each other. She lights up when he comes into the room and she follows him all over the place. She is only army crawling, but she's fast!
She has six very visible teeth: 4 on top, 2 on the bottom. However, she also has at least two more on the bottom that have cut through. She's handled teething like a champ.
She continues to sleep 12 hours a night and take two naps a day. Because we spend a lot of time at the park, the library, the zoo, the gym, etc, she often gets a short morning nap. But her afternoon nap is 2.5-3 hours long. If we're home for her morning nap, she sleeps for a couple of hours then too. I'm thankful that she is such a great sleeper!
She's been drinking out of a sippy cup for several weeks now. She looks like such a big girl with that cup!
She's becoming a better (and less messy) eater. For a long time she refused to eat any baby food. She will now eat baby food, but not vegetables. On the plus side, she does like table food. She only nurses four times a day but somehow she must be getting what she needs because she has nice, thick thighs.

I love my sweet girl so much! I can't imagine life without her or remember life before her.

What a cutie! I can't believe how fast they grow and how much they change. Did you mean to say she is 19 lbs?!?! She would be a very LITTLE peanut if she was 9 lbs!! ha
It is amazing to think back to our days without kids, I can't imagine my life without them.

How is it possible this baby is 9 months old already?? I love that she loves her brother. Rachel and Adam were always close, but it's changing a bit now.
