Gaylord Palms

One evening in Florida we made a visit to Gaylord Palms Hotel and Convention Center. It reminded me a lot of the Opryland hotel in Nashville. It was beautiful - and huge. I didn't take very many pictures, of course. They had live music and entertainment. We even watched a really neat show on the ropes.
Most of the hotel rooms had a balcony that overlooked the inside of the hotel. Live trees, lots of plants, beautiful restaurants, large ponds full of fish and alligators (yes, real ones) decorated the inside of the building. It was beautiful. We had a lot of fun exploring. They even had a room full of man made snow. Kids were paying quite a fee to go in and play in the white stuff. They were even selling gloves and coats right outside the room. Tickets to play in the snow had been sold out. That's okay. We had no desire to play in snow - that's why went to Florida!

The balconies to the individual rooms face toward this view. The lights were gorgeous.
