This is Celeste and Trevor - my cousin Jessica's children. Celeste is 2 and half years old. Trevor looks like he is about 3-4 months old, but he was actually born ONE WEEK AGO! First of all, isn't he adorable? Second of all, isn't he huge? He was born weighing 10 pounds 5 ounces. Now if that is not amazing enough, let me tell you about him mom. She gave birth to this big boy naturally - and without an epidural or any other pain medication. And she only gained about 35 pounds while pregnant. All I can say is "what a woman!"
Congratulations Shawn and Jess! He's beautiful and I am so thankful God gave him to you!

What a woman is RIGHT! I too gave birth to a 10 pounder (10lbs. 1 oz. to be exact) but not naturally. After hours of 5.5 cm dilation and lots of discomfort, my doc finally figured out that Chloe just might be too big to fit through me. Seems like big babies are all the rage now - actually, healthy pregnancies are so well encouraged that bigger babies are just a natural result. Congrats, Jessica!
Now she's got the endless task of listening to onlookers and strangers comment on her baby's big size. Sigh. I still get tired of explaining to people about Chloe's monstrous size.
That is such a cute picture. But, just wait until this weekend. They are both much cuter in person. I guess its time for me to stop braggging about giving birth naturally to my 9+ pound babies. Jess wins!
Kelly - yup! I was the taxi driver there in France & Belgium. I'm now teaching in North Africa. It's my second year here & I'm lovin' it!
