How My Day Ended

Yesterday turned out great!
After my last exam I went to the auditorium for a Christmas assembly. It was pretty fun. There were games, singing, and our staff skit. Mary did a smashing job (okay, so I only had one line).
After the assembly the Parent Teacher Fellowship treated all of the secondary staff and students to lunch. You can't pass up free food! Meanwhile Ben was a few miles away trying to fix my car.
I called him after lunch to tell him he could pick me up whenever he was ready. He said he wasn't able to get the car fixed and he had to go to work. Bummer. But he was going to get me in a half hour so I went up to my classroom to do some final grading. Ben shows up and grabs all of my Christmas presents from my students and we head outside. He opens the door for me and I noticed - he is driving my car! It works! He was just teasing me on the phone. My handy husband was able to fix the car for just over $100. It's better than buying another one. I am so thankful that my man is a "Mr. Fix It."
So Ben went to work and I went to do a little Christmas shopping. I found a few gifts and then headed over to Verizon Wireless. My bluetooth has not been working for several days and it's driving me crazy! Do you have a bluetooth? If you do, you know how great they are. I love using the wireless ear piece because I can get all kinds of things done while I am talking on the phone. I go shopping, fold laundry, grade papers, mop floors, all kinds of things! It is so convenient! I expected to wait a very long time at Verizon because they always seem so busy. In reality, I only had to wait about 5 minutes. Great! The lady behind the counter took one look at my bluetooth and said, "It's dead." I'm thinking, "I know - that's why I am here." She quickly opened up a new one and handed it to me. Hooray! I didn't have to even beg for the deal or try to dicker with her - which I was totally prepared to do. Although, before I knew she was giving me a new one, I did happen to mention to her that I have recommended the bluetooth to many people - some of which have since purchased the bluetooth. So I walked out of the store in 15 minutes with a brand new ear piece!
I got home and took a nap. Ben called at dinner time to ask me if I would meet him at the synagogue so I could join him for his dinner break. So we met for a quick bite and then I did a bit more shopping.
Ben is at work today and I am home with a ton of housework to do, which makes one wonder why I am on the computer?!?!? So with that said, I got to run!

Hey I'm glad you got your car fixed. I'm glad Ben learned a thing or two from his dad, because he hasn't always had good car skills.
