Inquiring Minds Want to Know

My sister, Kim, has NOT had her baby yet. In fact, today she is working a 12 hour shift in the emergency room at the hospital. I tell ya, that sister of mine is a worker! Most people would never even consider going to work after taking care of 3 little ones and being a week over due. That's right, she is now one week over due. Poor thing. She always goes over due. But since we discovered 8 weeks ago that she had a 2 vessel umbilical cord, we thought just maybe she would deliver on time. After all, babies with a 2 vessel cord usually come early. Not this baby.
They also say that babies with this condition have a low birth weight. Wouldn't that be nice? I'm sure Kim isn't counting on that either. Her babies are usually over 9 pounds. One can hope though, right? Please keep her in your prayers. I fly to Michigan on Wednesday and am hoping that when I do, I'll be meeting my new nephew!

I simply can't IMAGINE working a 12 hour shift while 40+weeks pregnant! That woman is amazing!
I bet after her shift she goes into labor.

Go Kim, go!!! Hope to hear some news pretty soon. You are INSANE to be working 12 hrs....that seems like a good way to stress yourself into labor, or be on your feet 12 hrs to help induce it into happening. Some nurses...
So, where are all the Owen pictures? I'm looking for pics of the newly "thickened" hair and new teeth?? Where can an Aunt go to see these things?? Please let me know.

Well, here it is Monday and still no baby. I worked my 12 hour shift, had a couple contractions, came home, went to bed, and woke up still pregnant. I was hoping that 12 hours on my feed would get things moving, but I had a good day at work and felt great. Every patient I took care of said something like, "So, when are you do?" and I would say, "Oh, about a week ago." And they would say, "WHAT?!" The various reactions were somewhat amusing.
Thanks for all the prayers, but ummm... well, just keep praying. Fortunately being busy with the kids makes the time go by faster and soon Kelly will be here. YEAH!!!

I'm just glad for a healthy baby. This kid seems like a trooper.

Go sista! I'm overwhelmed with the idea of working VBS this week with 1 (count 'em) one kid.
